Welcome all Wiener Dogs!
We are excited for another Oktoberfest Wiener Dog race and invite you to participate and join in the fun! This year there will be prizes for race winners and best costume. Costumes are optional, but lots of fun so have some fun with it The race is Saturday, October 8, 2022 at 4:00pm, so please arrive by 3:40 pm to check in your dog.
You may enter as many dogs as you like, but they must each have their own registration form. Please complete the form below and review the rules. If you have any questions or would like to register in person, please call or visit us at Iron Springs Adventure Resort.

Wiener Dog Race Rules
- Canines must look like a Dachshund.
- All dogs must be fully vaccinated and at least 4 months old. Do not bring a dog currently in heat.
- Treats, toys, balls, or stuffed animals may be used to entice dogs to the finish line. No laser pointers, flashlights, R.C. vehicles, or throwing items down the track are allowed.
- Participants must cross the finish line with all paws before they are counted as finished.
- All dogs must have two people participating: one person at the start and one person at the finish.
- If a person crosses the start line or the finish line at any time, that dog will be disqualified.
- All dogs must be on a leash when not participating in the race.
- Do not argue with a judge’s decision. They have the final say.
- I have read the rules and am aware that my Dachshund must have the specific breed characteristics of a Dachshund in order to race. I will not hold any party responsible if another dog bites my dog or me. I understand that Oktoberfest will not be responsible for any cost incurred by the actions of misbehaved dogs.
